Australia says sorry



Apologize is something of humans, who know and realized they were wrong and feel bad about it, but I don’t think it is useful, because they caused a lot of suffering to the children and families, they took away their babies without caring, they changed the babies and children name, they took way their roots, culture, family security, their country and their identity.

What else is needed?

The minorities need to feel protection, to have a government that encourage them to be what they are, because they are important as a minority, they don’t have to be as everybody else. They just don’t need excuses, they need to have the knowledge that it will not happen again.

Brazil, a mixed of cultures



Brazil is the most multicultural country in Latin America, and probably one of the most in the world. In Brazil, you can find German, Japanese, African, Spanish, Portuguese, Jewish descendents and others. Everything started with the Portuguese colonization of Brazil, and with the independence, the need of people to cover and protect the all territory, made easier the migration of millions of people from all around the world.

Now, Brazil has the biggest number of Japanese descendents outside Japan. The number of Japanese descendents in Brazil is bigger than countries like U.S.A. The Japanese culture makes its presence in the Brazilian way of living. Food, sports, companies, values, art and even neighbourhoods are examples of the Japanese traditions in Brazil. " Liberdade" the Japanese neighbourhood in Sao Paulo, is the place where the most of Japanese live, but there are also some other Asian as Korean or Chinese. There you can find a market where a big number of Asian products are available.

Arab Banking system

In the Arab world, the banking system differs from the western system. The Arab banking system is based on a set of Islamic principles, values and traditions. In the Arab world, the finance, commerce and economics are regulated by the Islamic economies which emphasize the encouragement of communal, non-individualistic values and fighting against selfishness.The basic principles are to share profit or losses and is forbidden a usury rate.

This kind of system totally differs from the one we have her in our country, and in the western world. It is interesting to know a different system that is doing well, but we have to be realistic, and is hard to apply this system in our culture because it changes almost all the ideas and concept we have.

Our culture is different and so do our values. We care more and more for the money and do not care about the other people, we prefer the personal achievements than the social one, there is not thrust between. For all those reasons, this system would be hard to apply, but nevertheless is important to study this new system and adapting it, making some changes in order to improve the one we already have.

China


Right now, China is one of the biggest and most important countries in the world, and it is expected to keep growing and becoming more improtant. The Chinnese market is very important and attracs big companies due to its size ( we have to remember that China is the most populated country in the world, around 1.2 billion).


If we want to understand a little bit of its culture, we can look at the hosftede's dimension. We can see tha they have a long time orientation mind, meaning that they are more focuse in the long term and built good relationships, it can be essential when someone is making a bussines with them. China also presents the lowets level of individualisim comparing it with the rest of the asian countries, it is because the importance of the family. The power distanjce is another dimension that is pretty high comparing with other countries, meaning there is not that much equality and there is a big diferentiation betwen the people.
There is one specific conflict i would like to mention and it is the conflict between China and Google. All this conflict began because the Chinese government wants to prohibit the research of some topics, this policy is against the Google's corporate culture and ethic. All this has created important negotiations and recently ther are some rumours about Google leaving China.

This movie shows how corporation have evolved through the histoy and how they have become one of the most powerful and biggest organization in the world, in some cases more powerful than some countries.

This filem is focused in some corporation's aspects like: comparing them with humans, show some actions taken ir order to increase their profits without considering the society and how soail responsability have became more important every day.

All those topics are really important and are good topics to talk about, but i would like to focus in the one that socked me the most, it was to see some actions done by the corportaion that were against the society but raise their profits. In this movei there are several cases about that, one of them happened in Bolivia where a foreign company got the control and rights over the water of a town, so each person had to pay if they wanted to use water fom rivers, even, if they wanted to use rain water, this situation was crazy because the people had no money and there is not right to private a source like water, this situatiin didn't last too much without conflicts, and unfortunately there were several victims and dead people.

Canada!!

the document's main idea is to show how immigrants make part of the canadian society and how this process has evolved through the history, knowing that immigrants are a driving force in economic, social al cultural life of Canada.

The canadian's migration process has changed a lot, at the beggining , before the economic boom that this country suffered, Canada wasn't a good destination for people, they preferred to migrate to USA or Briton than Canada. Also,Canada had a stron migration policy because they didnt wanto to allow lot of people to enter, they prefered that British and American were the only one who entered there.

After the big and strong economic expansion, the country started to deman higger rates of growth, there is when migration and immigrants from several countries arrived ( China, Italy, Germany, etc). After WWII, the migration policies became really flexible and gave the opportunity for more people to enter to the country, that's why people from Latin America, Poland and some other countries are showing that high rates of migration to Canada.

Culture and Organizational Culture

I would like to talk and discuss about a really important topic that plays a huge role in business as the culture. Knowing and understanding different cultures give an advantage because you will have more information and tools such as ideas, beliefs, gender, religion, etc in order to avoid problems and try to take the best results for the company.

We have to know that within a region they are different cultures, and all of them affect our business but also that our business has a culture and that is called organizational culture.

For me Culture, is a group of values, ideas, beliefs and ways of behaviour within a group like family, city, country or society, while organizational culture is a set of values and ideologies that a company has into a determined society.

For example something that I red was that tow different companies in a same country can be more alike than the same company in different countries. It is because the culture of that country will play an important role in determining the companies’ culture.
